A traditional Irish Christmas carol in the Irish language, based on a variant taught to Zambra by Mary McLaughlin. Filmed in December 2023.


SCOTTISH

Winter Charm of Lasting Life
A traditional Scottish waulking song that would have been sung by women sitting together at a table while pounding wet wool fibers into cloth. Filmed in December 2023.


UKRANIAN

Zeleneye zhyto, zelene
Filmed in September 2024, a Ukranian song that celebrates the harvest and coming together of family and friends. We sing this song with a sincere hope for peace.

Oy Khodyt Son Kolo Vikon
In response to the devastation of Ukraine, Zambra member Kathryn Veditz felt called to arrange this beautiful Ukranian lullaby. Andy Zenczak, a Ukranian-American music engineer and videographer, generously donated his time and talents to record and film Zambra performing the song in the mountains of Santa Cruz in 2022.
